About BREAKING BAD RV TOURS ABQ

The idea for " Breaking Bad RV Tours"

The idea for " Breaking Bad RV Tours" experience all started 11 years ago in January 2014. Frank and Jackie Sandoval came out of the corporate World into the entertainment and tourism industry, where they built their empire together. Since being actors on the hit show " Breaking Bad" and being a part of the Unofficial Breaking Bad fan group ran by the owners Mark & Ed Candeleria of the Breaking bad store Albuquerque. They were inspired to start the Breaking Bad RV Tour experience business.

The best of friends

The story of Breaking Bad RV Tours began in 2013. A great friend of Franks and former coworker contacted him letting him know he was coming to Albuquerque for a business trip and had asked Frank to take him on a "Breaking Bad" film location tour to see where all the film magic happened. Frank contacted his best friend Jess Coffer to go with him to meet up with his friend from Florida and they took him on a Breaking Bad tour. When they stopped at Twisters (Los Pollos Hermanos) for lunch Franks friend from Florida told him he should start a "Breaking Bad" film location tour and to run the tours in an RV just like the show.  Frank loved the idea and ran with it.  Soon after Frank approached his best friend Jess Coffer and decided to make a bet.  Jess said, " I bet you a beer that no one will want to travel in the RV to tour" and Frank "Said you are on". Ever since this day they go out and have a beer in remembrance of this time. Frank then convinced Jackie of the idea, and she started looking for a replica RV just like the one on the show to start touring in.

Oklahoma City

The Sandoval's took a family trip to Oklahoma City; along the way they stopped at a truck stop called "Russell's" where there was a car museum inside. While Frank was pumping gas in the family vehicle, he noticed on the side of the truck stop sitting in the back was a Fleetwood Bounder RV just like the one on the hit show "Breaking Bad" it stopped him in his tracks. It looked identical to the one on the show. After seeing the RV, Frank could not get it out of his head. Frank was inspired from that day on. and created what is now known as Breaking Bad RV Tours.

Arizona RV

Jackie ended up finding the first 1986 Fleetwood Bounder in Arizona that belonged to an elderly couple who could no longer drive it. They knew nothing about the hit show "Breaking Bad" and just wanted to get rid of the RV.  Frank and Jackie Sandoval traveled with their family from New Mexico to Arizona to pick it up and although the Sandoval's experienced some mechanical issues in addition to putting a tremendous amount of money into fixing the RV, it became an icon and was well worth it.

First Tour

In January 2014 Frank and Jackie Sandoval started their first tour in the iconic replica Breaking Bad RV just like the one on the show and a year later in 2015 the replica Breaking Bad RV made its first appearance at the Albuquerque Comic Con where fans traveled from all over to come and see it. From that point on the "Crystal Ship" became a hit! The "Breaking Bad experience tour RV" is a location by itself and adds to the overall experience.

The Reel Breaking Bad RV

Soon after creating the Tour RV Frank wanted to create an official Replicated "Breaking Bad RV" just like the one on the show with the full lab in it as seen on both Breaking Bad and El Camino (the Breaking Bad movie). So, Frank and his best friend Jess Coffer, who was a set dresser from both Breaking Bad and Better Call Saul replicated another RV to look exactly like the one that was used while filming Breaking Bad on the show. The Sandoval's started calling the gutted lab, set dressed RV " The Reel Breaking Bad RV". It is the same make and model as seen on the show and has props, as well as Actors signatures inside. The Sandoval's have a fan base that has supported them throughout their journey. It's because of the film industry and their fans that they are so popular today and souring. They are so thankful and grateful for all the support and following. It keeps inspiring them today to keep the tours going and give people from around the World an experience of a lifetime. The RV Tours and the Reel Breaking Bad RV has brought in people from around the World to experience Albuquerque, New Mexico like never before. Thanks to the Film Industry and Sony for bringing in such an iconic show to Albuquerque. Breaking Bad put Albuquerque on the map for tourism and the Sandoval's are grateful that they can bring awareness and a whole new level of excitement to fans nationally.
